A Volunteer Office Assistant has the following responsibilities:

Typing Filing Assist with record keeping Shredding Work on mailings as necessary Copying Assisting with prevention program and event preparation/labeling materials

 

Requirements/Qualifications

Basic clerical skills Familiarity with standard office equipment Good organizational skills Must complete the 10 hour Non-SAC STTARS training Must have required clearances on file with the agency Must be 18 years of age or older Must comply with all CARE Center policies and procedures Must submit hours worked to Volunteer Coordinator daily for any time volunteered Availability during office hours

Volunteer: Volunteer Hotline Worker/Medical Advocate

Responsibilities:

Assists with staffing the STTARS Program 24 hour hotline. This includes responding to phone calls from sexual abuse survivors or significant others and providing callers with support and resources.  If interested and qualified, may provide hospital response for callers who request medical advocacy Provides report of any calls received or advocacy provided to the volunteer coordinator within 24 hours of the event Must notify volunteer coordinator of the following months availability for hotline calendar by the 20th of each month

Must complete the 40 hour SAC STTARS training Must have required clearances on file with the agency Must be 18 years of age or older Must comply with all CARE Center policies and procedures Must possess strong communication and listening skills Must be assertive and comfortable working with diverse populations Availability during evening/weekends as scheduled
