We are looking to replace our current raised garden beds with new steel ones. Our current ones have broken and are no longer serving our needs.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:
- Remove the existing soil from the current garden beds
- Tear apart remaining garden beds and dispose of them in the dumpster
- Build new steel garden beds
- Fill the new garden beds with soil to prepare for the growing season
Our garden is for our students in our school program. The students grow vegetables for their Friday lunches and for healthy snacks during the school year. Our students help with the ongoing harvests and maintenance of the garden during the growing season.
What to wear and bring? Wear old clothes and bring work gloves, shovel, wheel barrel (if you have one).
