Volunteer in Greene County to assist with packaging and/or delivering meals to homebound older adults (60 years of age or older or spouse).  This service also provides a safety check for our elderly neighbors who wish to remain independent in their home as well as helping with food security.

Volunteer: Historic Trolley Restoration

Assist with the maintenance and restoration of our historic trolley fleet!

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is home to more than 50 trolley cars, and our collection continues to grow. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers of any skill level to help restore our trolleys to their historic beauty and function.

Work sessions are scheduled year-round throughout the week. Volunteers are able to help as frequently as they would like. We are especially looking for volunteers with metal-working experience, as well as experience with painting, woodworking or electrical work. However, no experience is required. Just a love of learning!

In addition to expressing interest here (by clicking "Respond,") you will also need to confirm your interest with our Volunteer Application. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you soon!

**Please be advised that volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years of age to participate without a parent or guardian present. All volunteers must provide their PA Clearances per PA State Law**

The library depends on citizen involvement to ensure that its services are as reflective of community needs as possible. Eva K. Bowlby Public Library Board of Trustees is a 9-member board. As a policy-making body, it guides the development of library services. Terms on the board are three years. The board meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Effective trustees bring to the library knowledge of the community, a commitment to the rights of citizens to information, and willingness to continually maintain and strengthen library services in western Greene County serving 16 townships and 3 boroughs. The service area of the library also encompasses Central Greene School District, Jefferson-Morgan School District, and West Greene School District. Our goal is to recruit trustee members from municipalities within our service area.
