Volunteer: PA Trolley Museum Guide
Make the Trolley Era come alive!
During their visits to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, guests have the chance to travel back in time to the wonders of the Trolley Era- when the bright lights and clanging bells of the trolleys filled the streets of America. This experience would not be possible without our Museum Guides. These volunteers lead visitors on this journey through the decades, both by giving guided tours and answering questions as visitors explore our collection. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys history, transportation, vintage technology, education, or just having a fun time! During your training process, you'll tour our museum, explore our trolley history resources, and shadow our experienced guides on their tours. Once you're ready to go, you'll be able to sign up to be a Museum Guide whenever you'd like. The PA Trolley Museum has needs for guides during weekday, weekend, and evening shifts, but both your training and guiding schedule are completely up to you. Whether you plan to volunteer once a week, or a couple times a year- we'd appreciate the help! In addition to expressing interest here (by clicking "Respond,") you will also need to confirm your interest with our Volunteer Application. **Please be advised that all volunteers are required to have up-to-date PA State Clearances.
