Who We Are

We are a volunteer driven organization that works to support community members and local stakeholders in their efforts to use responsible watershed management practices. Through a watershed-based approach we provide a collaborative framework to support the efforts our community member in their use utilization of air, land, and water resources; and promote the protection, preservation and enhancement of the county’s natural resources, biodiversity and ecological health for the benefit of current and future generations.

What We Do

Work with municipal leaders to tackle issues like flooding, erosion, and pollution at the source. Secure funding to restore damaged streams and protect vulnerable waterways. Monitor local streams by testing water chemistry and studying the tiny creatures that indicate the health of the stream. Measure chloride levels after winter storms to understand the impact of road salt on our streams. Host expert speakers to educate our community on serious environmental issues like orphan gas wells and tick-borne diseases. Lead community cleanups that spark awareness and action. Organize tree plantings Engage in community based environmental education.
